TCS New York City Marathon 2017

One more year one more Marathon, on a cloudy and rainy day the first runners started to enter Central Park at the Engineers Gate, first the wheelchair division and the handcycle categories; showing a lot of strength made they way to the finish line.

Un año más, una maratón más, en un día nublado y lluvioso, los primeros corredores comenzaron a ingresar a Central Park en la Engineers Gate, primero la división de sillas de ruedas y las categorías de handcycle; mostrando mucha fuerza haciendo el camino a la línea de meta.

Woman category followed with a nice surprise for the USA, after 40 years of not being on the first place on the podium a US citizen conquer the race from Oregon: Shalane Flanagan with a time of 2:26:543 followed by Mary Keitany from Kenya 2:27:54 then Mamitu Daska with 2:28:08 from NM, USA.

Después de 40 años de no estar en el podio, una ciudadana estadounidense conquista la carrera de Oregon: Shalane Flanagan con un tiempo de 2: 26: 543 seguido por Mary Keitany de Kenia. 2:27:54 luego Mamitu Daska con 2:28:08 de NM, EE. UU.

The man race was a hard one but Geoffrey Kamworor from Kenya left the pack behind and made a 2:10:53 time, on second place after a good final sprint Wilson Kipsang also Kenyan arrived with a time of 2:10:56; Lelisa Desisa got the third place at 2:11:32 and not far behind Lemi Berhanu arrived at fourth place with 2:11:52 from Ethiopia both.

La carrera de la división masculina fue difícil, pero Geoffrey Kamworor de Kenia dejó el grupo atrás e hizo un tiempo de 2:10:53, en el segundo lugar después de un buen sprint final. Wilson Kipsang llegó con un tiempo de 2:10:56; Lelisa Desisa obtuvo el tercer lugar con 2:11:32 y no muy lejos Lemi Berhanu llegó en cuarto lugar con 2:11:52 de Etiopía.

As as well known melting pot City people from around the world meets the runners along the course and here at Central Park South, just around the corner from the finish line!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It is also clear the diverdity of all the runners comming from every corner of the planet!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The haRd last meters of the race a music band try to help with some fun for their effort!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A damp day but charged with the energy of the runners and the cheering New Yorkerers
